About Me.
Hello,

My name is Wafa Yahya, and I am an architectural engineer and spatial designer and researcher currently based in Portsmouth, UK. I am pursuing a PhD in Architecture, Interiors and Urbanism at the University of Portsmouth, building on my MA in Spatial Design Practices (University of Portsmouth, 2025) and BSc in Architectural Engineering (University of Sharjah, 2020).

I have worked in architectural firms for 3 years across Dubai and the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, contributing to projects from concept development through detailed construction documentation. My design approach centres on user experience, sustainable adaptability, and the social dimensions of space.

Beyond practice, I lead the Blueprint Studio at the University of Portsmouth, a peer-led mentorship programme that supports students in digital and hand-based design development using tools such as Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. My academic and professional work alike seek to integrate research, design, and pedagogy to create inclusive, contextually responsive environments.

Please find my CV and portfolio attached for a detailed overview of my skills and experience.

Kind regards,
Wafa Yahya
